We had two Standy teams entered in the Top Team Trophy Dressage event.
Jodie on Geogre Jenny on Kip
Tam on Molly Melinda on Billy
Denise on Pace Kym on Banjo
Rebecca on Mojo Tim on Storm
Unfortunately Tim had to scratch Storm earlier in the week, and Bec had to withdrawl Mojo
We had all our riders due to ride on the Saturday except for Kym and Banjo who rode on Sunday
Jodie and George did some lovely warming up, however they were a little nervous entering the ring . George did a great job concidering he's really only started dressage practice 3 weeks ago.... A huge step away from working at the race course.
Tam and Molly paired up for this event. Both still learning each other. Molly was still on her toes, but Tam did a brilliant job to keep her quiet and relaxed. Molly is improving in her flat work at home, but you can see that she really has jumping running through her vains. A huge effort with both these guys.
Denise and Pace did two very nice test's They were the dark horse in the team,as they had gone out and got a dressage jackpot a week or two earlier. I heard the Denise was very happy with Pace's performance.
Jenny was up first, with the big Kippy Boy. She had him turned out nice enough to win a Smartest on Parade! (What a spunk!) We know how much practice everyone has put in for TTT and Jenny was no exception. Pete call the tests for her with camera in hand, so some of the photos are a little crooked! Jen was pleased with how Kip went, and Pete was as proud as punch watching them strut there stuff. Unfortunatly the judge wasn't as pleased with it as everyone watching and scored them quiet harshley. It doesn't matter though, we were extremely proud of them, we know how far Kip has come in such a short while. His canters are nearly perfect to what they once were. You should be very happy with what you did Jen ignore the result....
Melinda rode a lovely first test on the sand arena. She was worried about the sand hitting the letters but by the sounds Billy coped very well. She was very happy with how they went. The second test was in the indoor. Billy was doing great until a tribe of people walked in. He lost his concentration after that. Still they finished on a good note.
Kym and Banjo were the last one's up. There warm up always nerve racking, with having to share a small area with lots of horse's. By the time their test's came up it was a relief to be by themselves. The first test was great, Kym came out beaming. The second was in the indoor, and Banjo took to it with out a care in the world. He was wonderful. I think he enjoyed the indoor, having all the peolpe checking out the scores, Im sure he thought they were there just to see him!!
